What does U.S. BOSSES mean?
The Board of Senior Sensei's Educational Society (BOSSES) is the acronym defining the legacy of who we are and where we came from. The founder, Senior Sensei Kenn Brown, established this organization in honor and appreciation of his elders and colleagues who assisted him in the development of the C.W.Post Modern V-Jitsu Club 79 at Long Island University in Greenville, New York.
Prior to incorporating, unofficially, the acronym (BOSSES) was interpreted as Brotherhood Of Senior Sensei Esoteric Society. Later, the title was altered to incorporate and to emphasize inclusion of other martial arts disciplines. US is indigenous to the organizations place of origin, the United States.
What do we do?
US BOSSES is a Non-profit educational instituion established to preserve and protect the proliferation of Vee Jitsu through the use and practice of various martial arts concepts and theories. Proceeds from donations and fundraising efforts will be utilized to support and to finance any endeavors related to or in pursuit of this task.
The initial sponsors and participants are made up of the original students (deshi's) of the Honorable Florendo Visitacion and the infamous Moses Powell and who were active practitioners of Vee Jitsu Ryu Jiujitsu during the period of 1955 to 1976.
As time progressed these "first students" became Sensei's in their own right and established a second generation of formidable martial artist to promote their individual styles and interest. How ever, keep in mind the roots of their progression was deeply embedded in the Vee Jitsu Ryu System.
